PM offsite meeting & Lauren’s 13th Birthday Party
Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 08:32PM It has been a rather busy spring around the Wilson household since my last posting. Here we are, the first weekend of June and Sarah is playing her Spring Soccer Tournaments and both Lauren and Sarah are done with their SOLs and have only one more week left of school.
I wanted to share with family and friends a few recent adventures we have had yesterday and today. The images of the cruise on the Potomac are from a coworker’s boat as we cruised into Washington to take the sites in and the images by the pool are for a belated 13th Birthday Party/end of school year bash Janet and I put together for the ladies.

The team I work with and I all set out from Prince William Marina, just off the Potomac River, with a course to travel up the river, pass Ft. Washington, over to Mt. Vernon, the new National Harbor, under the newly constructed Wilson Bridge and on into Washington DC. We all enjoyed some lunch out on the river and had some good laughs before turning south back to the marina. Funny story, in the 20+ years that Dan, owner of the boat, had been boating, he never lost a man overboard, well… alas as were maneuvering into the slip, one of my coworkers tried to push off a piling and lost his footing and then the rest is history… he went for a swim! Other than his pride, no injury, but from this point forward, he’ll be known as “Gilligan” to the team.
By today, Saturday, we woke up and needed to get chores done around the house, cut grass, tidy up a bit, etc. Sarah had her first soccer tournament game that started at 9:00 and then another one at 10:00. I came and relieved Janet by 10:30 so that she could get over and start preparing for the party as we had 19 girls… most of them teenagers… showing up at 12:00. As a side note, I still can’t believe that Janet and I have a 13 year old in the house!

We have a soccer game in the morning and then I hope to have time in the afternoon to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet out by the pool with my three favorite ladies.
Our next adventure beings in about a week, Disney World and a week of VACATION!
All the best, have a blessed evening and week.
