Evening everyone,

Well, after much pushing, Lauren convinced Janet and I to put her in Miss Virginia Dogwood, http://www.missva.com/2003newdesign/virginiadogwood.htm, so she could participate in her first pageant.  I will tell you, Lauren had a blast and is already asking to take part in another pageant. 

Click on the pic to see the whole galleryThere were several categories to be judged on, interview, talent, fitness, and evening gown.   Lauren competed with “teen” category even though she is not quite 13, but both Janet and I are so proud of her.   We found out that out of all the girls, she was the second runner up for the interview portion… I wonder where she gets that from? 

Myself, I enjoyed watching my daughter and even Sarah Bell enjoyed it; she was taking video with of the whole event and loved the talent portion especially when some of the contestants sang.
